Solvent inkjet printing is used to produce large format signage. The inks used are solvent-based, as opposed to water-based. Solvent inkjet printing pairs well with substrates like flexible, un-coated vinyl. Typical solvent inkjet printing often involves uncoated materials like self-adhesive vinyl and scrim banners. These substrates work well with solvent-based inks.
Solvent inks etch into the vinyl. The solvent carrier of the ink then evaporates. This leaves you with a permanent solution, like a tatoo! Solvent inkjet printing is inherently waterproof, fade-resistant, scratch-resistant, and more cost effective. If you use premium cast vinyl with an over-laminate; you will have a sign that will last five to seven years! This includes those signs located in direct sunlight!
We use solvent inkjet printing to produce vinyl vehicle wraps, vinyl outdoor banners, fabric adhesive decals, printed vinyl fence covers, vinyl letters, vinyl banners, wall murals, vinyl wallpaper, window graphics (also known as window banners or window slicks). We use solvent inkjet printing for on a fabric product we call ‘ Multi-Fab.’ This solvent printed fabric is a high quality product, good enough to have applications in museum exhibits. Installation of Multi-Fab is a snap, and creates no wall damage! Solvent inkjet printing is cost-effective for outdoor and indoor applications.
