Photo lightjet printing is the service you want when looking for true photographic prints on true photography paper. There were two manufacturers of this equipment, referred to as an imagesetter. You may have heard of them, they are: Cymbolic Sciences’ Lightjet and Durst’s Lambda. These laser imagesetters expose a latent image onto photographic film or paper with RGB lasers. The photo paper then gets processed in traditional photographic chemistry. What’s so special about this service, you might ask? Well, photo lightjet printing is superior to any printing methods on the market, even today. It takes your digital image file and produces a final print with an apparent resolution of 4000 DPI. This result is incredibly sharp, and lightjet prints surpass the old prints exposed with the traditional enlarger. Naturally, the digital files are better, but this equipment is also superior with its method of exposing paper with lasers. Although these devices had been introduced in the early 1990’s and the advertising community wildly welcomed, today they are no longer in production. It was the surge of cost-competitively priced inkjet printers that caused imagesetter to discontinue. Despite this fact, we have chosen to maintain our lightjet equipment, so that we may continue to provide our customers with this superior product. Photo lightjet printing services yields a superior product when visual acuity counts!
