SEG
Silicone Edge Graphics is the method by which most customized fabric graphics can be hung. This system, better known as SEG, is a thin silicone strip (looking like a gasket) carefully sewn into the edges of your finished graphic! This edge gently glides into the receptive edges of the lightweight aluminum framing, especially made to receive the thickness of the gasket edge and fabric. The front surface of the frame can have a narrow profile so that it does not take any visual attention away from the prominent image! This gasket-like edge bends easily, is lightweight, and makes it easy to install.
Where do I get this SEG framing system? In most instances, printers of large format dye sublimation fabric for the graphics industry use SEG framing. This printing service for interior designers is available for corporate and retail settings.
What are the advantages of using SEG Graphics? Why choose to print images on fabric and then hang it with SEG framing system over standard print graphics?
- fabric solution- better color saturation, same apparent sharpness like continuous tone photograph; lighter weight, foldable washable, no glare, and durable.
- greener solution- made from recycled materials
- light weight solution – much, much lighter to ship and handle overall, plus no glass necessary.
- long lasting solution – the framing system can be permanently mounted while feauturing an easy change out method for advertising campaigns or artwork.
