Providing commercial product photography to central Virginia, had been one of core competencies of PhotoWorksGroup since 1986. The founders, Geoffrey and Denise Kilmer, attended R.I.T. in the late seventies to study photography. PhotoWorksGroup boasts a large commercial photography studio, suitable for products as large as automobiles. Using a BetterLight scanback mounted to large format cameras, paired with HDR software, we share your interest in extreme attention to the details in your product. Copy files of your artwork are kept tack sharp with a repro camera outfitted with the digital scanning back. The abbreviated list of equipment includes: a Nikon D2X with a complement of Nikkor lenses; the Betterlight Super 6K scanning back; the ToyoView 4×5 view camera; the Mamiya RZ67 with our Betterlight Back; and HDR software, and a host of strobe lights, including one huge diffusion light box strobe. Geoffrey, the owner, was in a photographer in the U.S.Navy’s air squadron in the seventies, and still enjoys his time shooting aerial photography.
