Let PhotoWorksGroup help you create exquisite custom fabric exhibits! The fabric graphics can be printed on a diverse set of poly-blend fabrics, showing different characteristics in weight, texture, and weaves. It is produced with the dye sublimation transfer fabric printing process. The exhibit you see above was printed and installed at the beautiful arboretum, Longwood Gardens, in Kensington Square, PA. We have produced exhibits for the Smithsonian Institute for the ‘Hometown Games’ travelling exhibit and for ‘Bollywood.’ Bold or subtle custom fabric graphics can be printed ten feet by whatever dimension. We recently installed a thirty two foot mural for the University of Virginia for their clubhouse on Davenport field. PhotoWorksGroup specializes in large format fabric printing fabric for these custom fabric exhibits using a process called dye sublimation transfer printing. The water-based dyes are gassed into the fiber through heat and pressurized rollers, making a permanent bond. This durable product is washable. The feel and bold color of the fabric come through because it is not a requirement to cover the fabric with a protective layer. The framing can appear nearly invisible by using silicone edge framing, known as SEG. The fabric image visually extends to its perimeter without an apparent frame. We accomplish this by sewing a silicone gasket on the edge of the fabric. The gasket then glides into a special channel in the framing. Obviously, there are other methods to displaying the fabric images, as shown above, or stretched with pole pockets, grommets, or velcro options. We will collaborate with your exhibit designer or do an on-site visit to explore some of those options with you upon your request. We have been known to come up with some unusual hanging spaces from previously untapped areas at Reagan National Airport. Since PhotoWorksGroup is a full service graphics provider, which means we offer a host of other printing solutions for signage and displays, which can perhaps cover the great majority, if not, your complete exhibit. All our services are performed in house, and we are happy to arrange consultation times to review all your options. Our team has the technical expertise and professional skills to produce and install your custom fabric exhibit.
